Sales Development Representative (Digital Marketing)

The Sales Development Representative for Chatter Buzz (SDR) is an entry-level inbound and outbound sales position and will generate buying demand for Chatter Buzz digital marketing services. The SDR’s core function will be to hunt for new business and set appointments through email outreach campaigns and call follow-ups. 

The SDR will be working closely with the sales and marketing team to prospect for new leads, qualify leads, set up appointments and grow the pipeline for the sales organization. Through a combination of cold calling and outbound email, the SDR will work with marketing to tactically reach decision makers, articulate the value proposition and assess buying interest with prospects.

Ultimately, we're looking for a young sales superstar who can be groomed into an Account Executive within 1-2 years.

You will:

  • Absorb the sales videos and training docs and be ready to start contacting new prospects 10 days from start date.
  • Become an authority on using lead generation tools to routinely extract contacts and craft accurate and targeted lists of prospects
  • Develop different email outreach to drive response and appointments
  • Send over 400-500 emails per week
  • Make outbound follow up calls per week
  • Use social media to warm cold leads
  • Develop proposals by doing in-depth research
  • Assist AE's in developing proposals 
  • Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using SalesLoft Cadence to connect with new prospects.
  • Utilize smart, targeted questions to speak knowledgeably with decisions makers such as VPs and Directors of Marketing
  • Expertly build interest and opportunities with new prospects
  • Oversee consultations on account executive’s calendar and log activities in CRM
  • Exceed quota qualified consultations on second full-time month



  1. 1-2 years of sales experience ( cold calling and outbound email ) 
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Strong work ethic, initiative, positive attitude & high energy
  4. Openness to learn & willingness to try anything
  5. Willingness to think outside of the box & tackle complex problems
  6. Solid understanding of the tech industry is a plus
  7. Experience working with an online CRM a plus (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)
  8. Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator a plus
  9. Experience with YesWare a huge plus
  10. Persistence to overcome obstacles and achieve quotas
  11. Strong leadership experience in school, work or any organization
